The Krausz name is not just a chocolate brand, but also a return to a long family tradition. Szilárd, the owner of the chocolate factory, named his company after his beloved great-grandmother Krausz, of Saxon origin from Fogaras. For him, his grandmother symbolises family values and traditions.

After his university years in Cluj-Napoca, Szilárd opened ice cream parlours and confectionery laboratories, but the real adventure began in Csíkszentimre, in the house he inherited from his grandmother! There they decided to open their own chocolate factory.
